Being a popular race track in Melbourne, the Caulfield, Vic, Horse Race Track is also called “The Heath”. Found just 8 kilometers from the Melbourne Central Business District, the Caulfield Racecourse is Melbourne Racing Club’s home.
The race track is triangular in shape with a glassed stand so racegoers have a full view of the race track. For every racing season, it hosts 20 racedays. It is popular for hosting the Futurity Stakes, the Underwood Stakes, Oakleigh Plate, C F Orr Stakes, Blue Diamond Stakes, Caulfield Guineas, and the Caulfield Cup.
Just 35 minutes from Melbourne’s center, the Caulfield, Vic, Horse Race Track is on tram route 3. It can also be reached through the railway station. The Caulfield station is just a short walking distance from the race track. For those bringing their own cars, car parks for the disabled are provided near the entrance. There are also toilets for the disabled as well as lift access to the grandstand. The Caulfield racecourse also provides a change room for babies and first aid stations.
Caulfield Race Track Is famous
The Caulfield Racecourse was established in 1876. The Victoria Amateur Turf Club first operated the race track. The racecourse was renovated from 1995 to 1996 to maximize the circumference to 2,080 meters. It was in 2001 when 20 race days annually have been incorporated into the race track’s schedule. It was also during this time when the Victoria Amateur Racing Club was changed to the Melbourne Racing Club. The racecourse is also being used for other events, especially during the Spring and Autumn.
